WR falls to Piggott,

The Walnut Ridge senior high volleyball team dropped a four-set match at 3A-Northeast Conference rival Piggott on Thursday.
Piggott won the opening game 25-16, but the Lady Cats came back to win the second game 25-23. Piggott won the next two games 25-18, 25-16 to take the match.
Caroline Kelley had 15 kills, and Ashlyn Cothern had 15 assists for the Lady Bobcats. Hannah Massey went 20-for-20 from the service line and had 13 digs. Nikki Pyle was 13-of-13 serving.
The Piggott junior high team defeated Walnut Ridge 25-15, 25-15.
Earlier in the week, the Lady Cats posted a convincing three-set win over Cedar Ridge at Sharum Gymnasium. Scores of the games were 25-5, 25-10, 25-11.
Cothern was 34-of-34 serving, with nine aces, and dished out 14 assists. Caroline Kelley hammered 11 kills, and Sabrina Knight had six digs.
