Bobcats trample Cross County
Eric Wilcoxson put the Bobcats on the scoreboard with a 19-yard run with 9:29 to play in the first quarter. The conversion attempt failed, leaving the score at 6-0.
Cross County returned the ensuing kickoff deep into Bobcat territory to set up the tying score. Thunderbird quarterback Tyler Houston capped the short drive with a four-yard run with 4:20 to play in the quarter. The Walnut Ridge defense stopped the conversion attempt and the period ended with the score knotted 6-6.

The Hoxie senior high volleyball team split a pair of matches in 3A-Northeast Conference play last week. The junior high team won its matches in conference play and made a good showing in the NEA Blazer Blast.
