JPs approve county
pay adjustments
The Lawrence County Quorum Court voted to give county employees and elected officials end-of-year pay adjustments at its meeting on Monday night.
In recent years, the county has granted these adjustments rather than salary increases. Using this method allows justices to be sure the budget can be met.
The court also set the tax millage rate for 2013, which is unchanged from the 2012 millage.
A lease agreement for three gravel trucks was also approved by justices, as was an ordinance for a flood damage prevention program.
