Hoxie boys drop
Hoxie's Seth Hart looks for someone to pass to as he is guarded by an Osceola defender. The Mustangs dropped their first game of the season with a hard-fought 67-65 loss to the Seminoles.

The Osceola Seminoles handed the Hoxie senior boys their first loss of the season in a 67-65 nail-biter on Nov. 27 at Hoxie.
The Mustangs trailed 20-16 after one quarter, but fought back in the second period to move ahead 36-33 at the end of the first half.
Osceola regained the advantage in the second half, taking a 53-50 lead after three quarters, and holding off the Mustangs in the final period.
Colton Watson led Hoxie with 26 points. Jacob Defries added 15 points. Hayden Defries and Slade Sullens each recorded seven points, and Seth Hart added six.
The loss dropped the Mustangs to 1-1 in 3A-3 Conference play and 3-1 overall.
Osceola defeated Hoxie 57-21 in a junior boys contest.
Hoxie led 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, but Osceola took control of the game in the second period to lead 22-11 at halftime and 39-18 after three quarters.
For the junior Mustangs, Lucas Willfond hit three three-pointers to finish with nine points. Dylan Littlejohn scored four points, and Tyler Burgett had three.
