The Hoxie boys basketball teams were in action against 3A-3 Conference opponents Corning and Rivercrest last week.

Corning

The Mustangs hosted Corning for homecoming on Friday and defeated the Bobcats 66-40.

Hoxie led just 33-26 at halftime, but dominated the second half, outscoring Corning 19-6 in the third period and 24-8 in the fourth quarter to coast to the victory.

The Manila Lady Lions defeated Hoxie 58-54 in 3A-3 Conference senior girls basketball action on Thursday at Hoxie.
