Houston, Ryker and Rylee Netrefa are the children of Robbie and Rachael Netrefa of Black Rock.

Second round of snow is surprise

Count me as one of those surprised by the Tuesday afternoon snowfall. In a time span of only 30 or so minutes during the lunch hour Tuesday, the roads in Walnut Ridge had became quite slick, and schools around Northeast Arkansas began dismissing early. We heard reports of many vehicles sliding in ditches around the county. Apparently others were also caught off-guard by the amount of snow we received.

We measured two and an eighth inches with more snow still falling late in the afternoon. Dirty piles of snow from the Christmas night blizzard had just melted days earlier before this new snow arrived.
