Lawrence Health Services has opened its doors to a whole new set of patients - children - with the addition of Dr. Samantha Hatfield, who specializes in pediatrics and internal medicine.

Hatfield, who is a native of Cave City, said she was excited to return to the area to serve at Family Medical Center and Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Community event
to help grant wishes

On Friday, communities throughout Northeast Arkansas, including Walnut Ridge and Hoxie, will band together to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation grant wishes for area children.

WR airport adds access for pilots

At Monday's Walnut Ridge Airport Commission meeting commissioners learned that a keypad has been installed for pilots to use after hours at the airport. This will give them access to the lounge and restrooms in case of a forced landing or other emergency.
