S-H teams record TO victories
The Sloan-Hendrix senior high basketball teams each recorded overtime victories at Maynard on Friday night.
In senior boys action, Jordan Johnson hit a field goal with two seconds remaining to give the Greyhounds a 74-72 win.
Sloan-Hendrix led 55-44 at the end of the third quarter before the Tigers rallied in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime.
Kyle Murphy led the Greyhounds with 22 points. Blake Bennett scored 18 points. Chris Taylor finished with 12 points, and Zeb Gipson added 10.
Sloan-Hendrix's Lady Greyhounds improved to 19-11 on the season with a 74-72 win over the Lady Tigers.
Sloan-Hendrix led 46-40 after three quarters, but the Lady Tigers came back in the fourth quarter to tie the contest 65-65 at the end of regulation.
Britney Wolfe led four Lady Greyhounds in double figures with 19 points. Cheyenne Vance scored 16 points. Madicyn Huddleston had 12 points, and Shayla Dickson had 10.
