CHAMBER HOSTS JOB FAIR - Hoxie resident Brittany Henson (left), 19, fills out a form at the Legacy Hospice booth at the Lawrence County Job Fair held Tuesday. Jennie Adkins, volunteer and bereavement coordinator, discusses Legacy Hospice's commitment, which is to provide home care for terminally ill patients. The fair was held in the Lawrence County Meeting Room from 2-6 p.m. and was hosted by the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.

McMillan gives highway update

Walter McMillan, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department district engineer, updated those at Tuesday's Rotary Club meeting on progress with highway projects in the Lawrence County area.

LCSD adds mobile app

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has added a new feature to increase public awareness. The app, MobilePatrol, is now available.

Thompson will seek re-election

State Senator Robert Thompson (D-Paragould) announced today his intention to run for re-election to the State Senate in 2014.

WBC softball returning to National Tournament

The Williams Baptist College softball team is headed back to the NAIA national tournament. The NAIA was scheduled to release brackets for the first round of the tournament Tuesday evening, and the Lady Eagles are set to open play Monday. It is the second year in a row for Williams to make the tournament.

Graduations set in LawCo.

Lawrence County's five high schools have announced plans for their graduation exercises for the 2012-13 school year.
