Coffell retains
pole vault title

Hoxie High School's Krista Coffell won the Class 3A state pole vault title for the fourth year in a row. She also won first place in the triple jump.

For the fourth consecutive year, Hoxie's Krista Coffell is the girls 3A champion pole vaulter. Coffell added another title to her collection by also winning the triple jump event at the state meet on Thursday at Green Forest.

Coffell took top honors in the pole vault with a height of 10'6" equaling the record she set last year. She won the triple jump with a distance of 32'10-1/2".

Coffell will compete in both events at the Meet of Champions on Saturday at Lake Hamilton High School.

Jacob Henson competed in the boys pole vault. He finished in a tie for ninth place with a vault of 11 feet.
